An update about Beef pricing

Since we started “Jerking it” back 2016, it has been our goal to bring you the best hand sliced, small batch JERKY around. Over the past 16 months we all have been faced with many changes and challenges,  conversations like this are always tough to have. 

Since we sold our first bag of Greenport Original Beef Jerky at the Greenport Farmers Market, the cost of beef has fluctuated in price. Up until now we have been able to absorbed these price spikes without raising our prices. As of this past week our wholesale cost of beef has jumped by 50%. As a small producer we can’t absorb such a huge number. Unfortunately this will result in a price increase of our beef jerky on June 21, 2021, after all of your Father’s Day orders.  As soon as the cost of beef goes down and stabilizes we can roll back our pricing.
